I.C.P.D unveils strategy to tackle financial crime in Ghana

By: Isaac Asare

Ghana has over the decades witnessed a steady rise in financial crime, with fraud, corruption, and money laundering increasingly threatening the integrity of public institutions and national development. For Anti-corruption crusaders, these crimes not only erode public trust but also stunt economic growth and undermine governance systems. The complexity and scale of financial crime have made it clear that isolated efforts are no longer sufficient but a coordinated national response requiring the collective effort of all.

Against this backdrop, the International Centre for Public Development (I.C.P.D) has launched a comprehensive strategy to combat financial crime in Ghana. The initiative unveiled during the Centre’s maiden Board and Management Meeting held at AH Hotel in Accra was on the theme, “From Classroom to Boardroom: A Dual Concept Approach to Combating Financial Crime.”
